If you desire a bowl of chili full of flavors, You need to make this Zippy’s Chili Recipe, A simple recipe to make super delicious chili at home.

The recipe is inspired by The chili served at Zippy’s, I love Zippy’s and this is not my first copycat recipe inspired by them, I already made Zippy’s Korean Fried Chicken and Zippy’s Mac Salad, They served so good food and lots of people I know loves to eat their dishes.

So I’m always sure that every copycat I make inspired by Zippy’sz will always turn so awesome and give me a great experience to enjoy.

I made this Zippy’s Chili Recipe with ground beef, But you have the choice to make it with sausages, or alone and served with some steamed rice as they served at Zippy’s.

What is Zippy’s Chili?

This a bowl of chili that you can get at Zippy’s. It’s made with beans, tomatoes, and special spices that make it taste really good. People love Zippy’s Chili because it’s warm, delicious, and full of flavor. You can put cheese, sour cream, or green onions on top to make it even tastier, or even made your favorite meat to it as I did in my recipe I added ground beef. The Zippy’s served this chili in many styles like Barrel Chili, Chili & Cheese Fries, and other styles.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (14 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Zippy’s Chili?

Step 1:

Start by heating a large pot over medium heat. I added the ground beef since I love this recipe with it, But it’s up to you, you can add any meat you like or omit it, and cook the ground beef until browned.

Step 2:

Next, add diced onions and minced garlic to the pot, sautéing until they turn translucent.

Step 3:

Now, fold in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, tomato paste, and beef broth, ensuring every ingredient is integrated into the chili base.

Step 4:

Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, and adjust the seasoning as you like.

Step 5:

Bring the chili to a gentle boil before reducing the heat to low. Allow it to simmer for at least 30 minutes. When ready to serve, ladle the piping hot chili into bowls, Add some shredded cheese if you want and enjoy.

  • If there’s too much oil, take it out so the chili isn’t too greasy.
  • Cook the Onions and Garlic with the meat first so they smell nice and taste good.
  • It makes the chili taste richer. Mix it well with everything.
  • Don’t put too much spicy powder at once. Add a little bit and taste.

How to Store Leftover?

Keep any leftover chili in a closed container in the fridge for 2 days. You can also freeze it to keep it longer. Just put it in the fridge overnight to thaw and then warm it up on the stove or in the microwave.

You can Pair your Zippy’s Chili with lots of tasty options! You can enjoy it with rice, just like they serve at Zippy’s, or pair it with cornbread for a classic combination.
