This is a tropical Pina Colada Sangria that is ready in just 10 minutes. It’s made with wine, juice, rum, and cream, which gives it a creamy and beautiful texture that is so enjoyable.

After I made my last Watermelon Shot, I felt motivated to create more drinks. and I thought that making a sangria drink would be so nice since it has been a while since my last sangria recipe, I love sangria drinks and have already shared an Outback Blackberry Sangria before in my blog.

I chose to make this Pina Colada Sangria as I was so excited to make and enjoy a coconut and tropical flavor drink.

I didn’t make this Pina Colada Sangria the classic way, with lots of fruit slices in a big pitcher. Instead, I wanted it to be creamy, so I used coconut cream. Also, I aimed for a smooth, fruity, and tropical flavor, which I achieved by using pineapple juice.

This drink reminds me of the Caribou Lou, as both are quite similar. The main difference is that I used more ingredients to make this Pina Colada Sangria, such as triple sec and wine.

What is Pina Colada Sangria?

Pina Colada Sangria is a drink that mixes the fruity tasty flavors of a Pina Colada with the fun style of making Sangria. I made it with white wine, coconut rum, and pineapple juice, and also used coconut cream to give it that nice creaminess, The drink tastes sweet, and smooth, with a nice creamy and fruity flavor. Perfect for summer and definitely perfect for all gatherings with family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of white wine (I used Pinot Grigio, but also Sauvignon Blanc will work well)
  • 1 cup coconut rum
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • Ice cubes

How to Make Pina Colada Sangria?

Step 1:

In a big pitcher, pour the white wine, coconut rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and triple sec. Stir until everything is mixed and smooth.

Step 2:

Put the pitcher in the fridge for at least 2 hours so all the flavors can mix well.

Step 3:

Now, fill the glasses with ice, pour the sangria over it, and Enjoy.

  • I love to use cold wine to help the drink get cold faster when I put it in the fridge.
  • After mixing, Always, taste the drink to see if you like the sweetness. so you can add more pineapple juice if needed.
  • If you can, let the drink sit in the fridge overnight. The longer it chills, the better it gets.
  • If you don’t have coconut cream, coconut milk works too. It still makes the drink creamy.

How to Store Leftovers?

If you have any leftover Pina Colada Sangria, keep it in the fridge with a lid on. It will be good for 2 days. Before drinking it again, stir it well because the coconut cream might settle.

What to Eat with this Pina Colada Sangria?

I wanted a full tropical experience that’s why I enjoyed this Pina Colada Sangria with Maui Banana Bread, which adds a great sweet and fruity touch to my meal. You can also pair it with coconut shrimp, fresh mango salsa, or a pineapple upside-down cake. You can also have this drink with some salads like a citrus salad or a fruit salad for more fruit flavors. And don’t forget muffins and cupcakes, believe me, they pair so well with this kind of drink.
