Finally, I’m sharing a Baked Ziti recipe on my blog, and there’s no better place to start than with a copycat recipe for Maggiano’s Taylor Street Baked Ziti.

I love pasta, especially spaghetti and dishes with creamy sauce and cheese on top. One of my absolute favorites for years has been Mike’s Farm Mac and Cheese. But this time, I’d like to make a pasta dish based on marinara sauce.

Since I love dishes that are served at Maggiano’s, Why not make a copycat recipe for their Baked Ziti, The taste was so delicious and full of creamy flavor and even the cooking was easy and fun of course.

I add ground Italian sausage to make it more special and cozy for me, But this step is optional, you can ignore or add a meat that you love, And I suggest ground beef or turkey sausages.

What is Maggiano’s Taylor Street Baked Ziti?

It’s a delicious Baked Ziti served at Maggiano’s restaurant, This Baked Ziti is full of flavors with some creamy textures, It’s made with pasta of course, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Italian sausage. This pasta dish is layered and baked with so many flavors inside. It’s a favorite at Maggiano’s for its creamy and delicious taste and satisfying texture.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Maggiano’s Taylor Street Baked Ziti?

Step 1:

First, set the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2:

Cook the ziti pasta like the instructions say on the box. When it’s ready but still a bit firm, drain the water and put the pasta to the side.

Step 3:

Get a big pan and put it on the stove. heat it up and add a little bit of olive oil. Put in the ground Italian sausage and cook it very well, Break it into small pieces while it cooks.

Step 4:

In a big bowl, mix the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the cooked sausage. Add some salt and pepper if you like.

Step 5:

Now, use a little bit of olive oil to grease a baking dish. Put the mixed pasta into the baking dish.

Step 6:

Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the pasta.

Step 7:

Cover the baking dish with foil and put it in the oven. Bake it for 20 minutes.

Step 8:

Take off the foil and bake it for another 10 minutes, until the cheese on top melts, Enjoy.

  • Always Taste the sauce before baking and add a little salt and pepper if it needs more flavor.
  • When you mix the pasta with sauce and cheese, make sure everything gets mixed up very well.
  • You can add some Cooked veggies to make the dish even tastier and more unique for you.

How to Store Leftovers?

Let the baked ziti cool completely, then transfer it to an airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When you want to eat it again, Just reheat it in the microwave.
