This is a super easy Honey Garlic Noodles recipe you can enjoy for lunch or even as a quick dinner. The garlic and honey flavors mix well to create a sauce that goes perfectly with the noodles. I also add some toppings I like to make the dish even more delicious for me.

This Honey Garlic Noodles dish is super delicious, I love the taste of the sauce I made based on garlic, honey, and other spices. Like I said, the dish is not complicated at all. Make the sauce, then mix in the cooked noodles, and serve.

I added some extra ingredients and toppings that I wanted. I included small pieces of red peppers and crispy little pieces of onions to give the dish a beautiful crunch with each bite. I also served the dish with some garlic cloves.

But these additions are optional and can be customized too. You can skip any ingredients you don’t like. so everyone can choose what they like best.

Also, extra toppings can be added like crispy onions and red peppers, The dish can be served quickly at lunch or dinner, The flavors are satisfying and I think any lover of noodles should try this Honey and Garlic version.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (about 2 cups) of noodles
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup of fried onions (Optional)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped red peppers
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make Honey Garlic Noodles?

Step 1:

Start by Boiling a big pot of water. Add a little salt, then put the noodles in. Cook them following the directions on the package until they are just right.

Now, warm up some olive oil in a pan. Add the chopped garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.

Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and a little bit of red pepper. Let the sauce cook for a few minutes so all the flavors mix well.

Sprinkle fried onions which I love a lot, which will add a little crunch to your bites, and chopped red peppers (Optional), You can also serve your dish with some garlic cloves as I did, I just want the dish to be full of garlic flavors, but of course this is optional too.

  • Choose noodles that are easy to chew, like spaghetti or egg noodles, For my recipe I used regular spaghetti.
  • If you want you can Mix in some tiny pieces of carrots or peas for extra color and crunch.
  • If you like it sweeter, add a little more honey to the sauce.
  • Fried onions on top make the noodles fun to eat because they’re crispy, but they’re optional. You can serve your noodles without them if you want, or even add your favorite toppings.

How to Store Leftovers?

If you have any noodles left, put them in a container with a lid and keep them in the fridge. They’ll be good for 2 days. When you want to eat them again, warm them up in a pan.

You can also have it with a crunchy green salad or Portillo’s Sweet Peppers, I’m sure these sides will add the needed flavors to make your meal more cozy and perfect, As for drinks, a simple glass of iced tea pairs perfectly with the flavors of the noodles. I see some people love to have it with a warm cup of miso soup or vegetable broth. I didn’t try it, but I think it can be good too.
