I love Caprese Skewers With Olive because The holidays are my favorite time of year. One of my holiday and party side dishes is Classic Caprese Skewers With Olive Oil Drizzle. 

These are easy to make, come together quickly, and don’t require many ingredients. Classic Caprese Skewers are always a hit because they are healthy, refreshing, and a breath of fresh air for people who are tired of the heavy foods often found at holiday gatherings.

Pair these classic Caprese Skewers with fruity wines with high acidity, like a dry sparkling wine, Sauvignon Blanc, Fiano, Sancerre, Albariño, or Falanghina and you have a match made in heaven.

  • Fresh mini mozzarella balls
  • Grape or cherry tomatoes
  • Olive Oil Regular or Infused
  • Italian seasoning

How to Make Caprese Skewers With Olive

  1. Roll fresh mini mozzarella balls into Italian seasoning
  2. Layer fresh mini mozzarella balls onto a wooden or metal skewer followed by a fresh basil leaf (fold the basil leaf if it’s too large) then add a cherry tomato.
  3. Once you have several fully assembled, lay them flat on a plate drizzle with olive oil and serve.

  • Skewers: If I’m taking these to a party I use wooden skewers however if the party is at my house, I  make mini skewers and use my metal skewers
  • Olive oil: I like to use good olive oil like this 4 pack of infused olive oils I picked up online)
  • Make ahead: You can also pop them in the fridge covered in saran wrap if you are making them ahead.
