Mango Raspberry Swirl Margarita

When it comes to cocktails I’m a huge fan of frozen ones. I mean, there’s something extra special about a frozen Mango Raspberry Swirl Margarita or a frozen daiquiri. Hey, even a frozen lemonade feels better than a traditional one!

So when I was looking for some cocktail ideas to make for Summer I knew one thing was sure: It had to be frozen! And tropical, fresh, fruity, and sweet but not overpowering. And after some tests and trials, this recipe came to life.

This Mango Raspberry Swirl Margarita is honestly Summer in a glass! It’s citrusy, fruity, sweet but not overpowering and so refreshing! I also love the fact that it’s incredibly stunning, those raspberry and mango swirls are party-ready.

There’s a little secret to making this super thick and creamy frozen margarita: Use frozen fruit! Frozen fruit also makes this margarita extra flavorful instead of using just ice and juice.

  • Frozen mango: To make the mango layer
  • Frozen raspberry: To make the raspberry layer
  • Tequila: It’s a margarita after all!
  • Ice: Just to make it extra cold and refreshing
  • Simple syrup: To make it sweeter
  • Orange juice: Just to make everything run

The swirl is what gives this margarita extra points! While it’s not necessary and you can combine both flavors I love how some bits taste more like raspberry and others more like mango.

To do it just pour the frozen margarita in layers. The mix is super thick so it’s easy to do the layering.

How to Make Mango Raspberry Swirl Margarita

  1. Place the frozen mango in a blender with ¼ cup simple syrup, 4 oz tequila, half the orange juice, and half the ice, and pulse until thick and creamy. Pour into a pitcher.
  2. Repeat the process with the raspberries and the rest of the simple syrup, tequila, orange juice, and ice.
  3. Layer glasses with a frozen mango margarita and a frozen raspberry margarita.

Tips

  • Frozen mango and raspberries create a thicker texture and help keep the drink cold without watering it down.
  • Taste the mixture before blending and adjust the amount of simple syrup.
  • Place glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before serving to keep the margaritas extra cold.
