One of my favorite pasta dishes is Alfredo and Marinara Pasta. I can’t remember when I first learned to make it, but it’s always been a beloved creamy dish for me. It’s pasta swimming in both creamy Alfredo sauce and tangy marinara sauce, A great meal for a cozy family dinner.

The dish is so delicious and versatile as well, While the classic recipe doesn’t include meat, adding meatballs gives it a hearty taste and makes it even more delicious. Sometimes, I use chicken sausages, and other times, beef meatballs, like the ones in this recipe.

I know many of you enjoy baked pasta dishes. Although I didn’t bake this recipe, you can easily do so by sprinkling some cheese on top and baking it for 20 minutes. I prefer to enjoy it right away, with the juicy pasta, sauces, and meatballs mixed together.

One special touch I always add to this Alfredo and Marinara Pasta is Tuscan seasoning after finishing the dish. It adds an earthy and beautiful flavor, but it’s completely optional.

The dish tastes so delicious due to its creamy and tangy flavor, which you will have in every bite. Plus I add beef meatballs to make it perfect for me, This Alfredo and Marinara Pasta may look like classic pasta with meatballs, But not, it is much better with more flavors due to the mix of the ingredients used, And not forget to add some seasoning as I Did.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340g) penne pasta
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 lb (450g) meatballs (already cooked)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Tuscan seasoning
  • Salt and pepper

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Skillet (for reheating meatballs)
  • Wooden spoon or spatula

How to Make Alfredo and Marinara Pasta?

Step 1:

Fill a big pot with water, add salt, and heat it, After it become hot, Put the penne pasta in the pot and cook until it’s soft. Pour the pasta into a strainer and let it sit.

Step 2:

Now, Put a little olive oil in a pan and heat it up. Put the meatballs in the pan and cook until they are warm.

Step 3:

In a big bowl, pour the Alfredo sauce and marinara sauce. Stir them together until they are mixed well.

Step 4:

Put the cooked pasta into the bowl with the sauces. Mix it gently so the pasta is covered with the sauce.

Step 5:

After, Put the warm meatballs on top of the pasta and sauce in the bowl.

Step 6:

I love to Sprinkle Tuscan seasoning, salt, and pepper on top of the pasta and meatballs, Also you can Drizzle a little bit of olive oil on top if you want, Move the pasta and meatballs to a big serving dish and Enjoy.

  • Don’t forget to Follow the pasta package instructions for cooking time to make sure it’s not too soft or too hard.
  • I always Save a small cup of pasta water before draining, I used to thicken the sauce if needed.
  • Try to Heat meatballs in a single layer for even warming.
  • Start with a small amount of spices and taste as you go. and for the Tuscan seasoning used don’t add too much.

How to Store Leftovers?

After eating, put any extra pasta and meatballs into a container with a lid. Put the container in the fridge, make sure to eat them within 2 days. When you want to eat them again, you can warm them up in the microwave Or add some cheese on top and bake them, I did it last time and it turned out to be a good idea.

What to Eat with this Alfredo and Marinara Pasta?

The first choice I have in mind when I make this Alfredo and Marinara Pasta is to pair it with a piece of crispy garlic bread to add some flavor and crunchiness to the meal. Cheesy Smashed Potatoes can be a great side with the dish as it contains cheesy flavors that go so well with the taste of the sauces used. You might like having some steamed broccoli or green beans as well, they’re soft and easy to eat. For a sweet dessert, after you finish your Alfredo and Marinara Pasta, you can enjoy a creamy La Michoacana Yogurt.
