Rusa Drink
If you love drinks with a mix of flavors, fruits, textures, and a bit of spice—yes, you heard me right, a touch of spiciness, then this Mexican-style Rusa Drink is definitely one to try during the summer.
If you’re in Mexico, you’ll notice that some people serve it as a street drink because it’s quite popular there. Typically, the drink has a rim on the glass and is packed with fruits and juices. I made my own version using watermelon juice and some of my favorite fruits, and you can do the same.
The drink is very versatile, but there are a few ingredients you shouldn’t leave out if you want to enjoy the classic taste of it. Chamoy sauce and tajín chili powder, These two ingredients add the special touch of Mexican cuisine that makes the drink more unique, otherwise, it would just be a regular fruity drink.
What I like the most about this Rusa Drink is the variety of flavors it contains. With a mix of juices and fruit chunks, the drink is so delicious. As I mentioned, you can use any fruit you like to customize it and make it just right for your taste.
I know some people like to make their Rusa Drink more alcoholic, but I only used regular Red Bull along with the watermelon juice, and the taste was amazing. I didn’t want it to be too strong. You can also make it less spicy by adding just a little chamoy sauce and tajín chili powder like I did. I used only a small amount to give the drink a special touch without making it too spicy.
