4 slices of bacon 1 onion, chopped 2 celery stalks, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 3 tablespoons flour 2 cups clam juice 1 cup chicken broth 2 cups heavy cream 2 cups diced potatoes 2 cans (6.5 oz each) of chopped clams, undrained 1 teaspoon dried thyme Salt and pepper

Start by cooking the bacon in a pot until it turns crispy. After it cooked well, Take it out and break it into pieces. Keep the bacon fat in the pot.

Put chopped onion, celery, and garlic into the pot. Cook until the veggies are soft which will take about 5 minutes.
