First, Turn on the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch loaf cake pan or a round cake pan as you want, I use a loaf cake pan for this recipe.

In a big bowl, mix butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one by one and then mix in vanilla. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly mix these dry ingredients with the butter mixture, adding milk too. Stir until just mixed.

Pour the batter into the pan and smooth it with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes. After it is cooked, Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then move it to a wire rack.
