First, Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. Stir them halfway through. Let them cool for a few minutes.

Put the roasted almonds in your blender. Blend for 10-15 minutes, stopping to scrape the sides. The almonds will first get crumbly, then pasty, and finally smooth like butter.
